Job Summary:
JOB SUMMARY:
Assist in maintaining appropriate key internal controls including SOX and other compliance measures.
Main responsibility is to audit daily store receipts, ensure customer deposits comply with company policies and manage accounts receivable.
Job Description:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned):
• Audits nightly closing paperwork and balance prior day's cash/cash equivalent transactions.
• Reviews customer deposits and confirm validity.
Prepares Excel spreadsheet for deposits to be researched and update for market accountants for review.
• Process customer third-party financing (prepare excel spreadsheet, enter data into finance website, enter funding into the POS system).
• Manages credit card and finance disputes and returned checks; gather all required information to answer the dispute, including sales ticket, signed payment slip, customer service notes, delivery manifest, feedback from store.
Provides required information via website, fax or e-mail.
• Processes eCommerce orders: Creates sales carts or tickets for each incoming eCommerce order within 48 hours and maintain excel spreadsheets.
• Manages all outstanding accounts receivable on sales tickets.
• Prepares a detailed audit of store processes for each store on a quarterly basis to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Researches all tickets with deposits that are not in compliance with company policy.
Researches sales notes and correspond with stores to resolve issue by collecting the required deposit, obtaining MSM approval, or canceling sale.
Provides findings to Sales Audit Supervisor.
• Manages digital copies of all paperwork submitted from stores.
• Corresponds with collection agency and maintain log with statuses for all open collection items.
SCOPE & IMPACT:
Perform the sales audit function and provide support to Corporate-owned retail stores.
Ensure that all payments received from retail customers for the purchase of merchandise are deposited in the company's bank accounts and assist in minimizing the risk of lost deposits by ensuring that company policies and procedures are followed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• High School diploma or equivalent with 0 – 2 years relevant experience, or equivalent.
• Good oral and written communications skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally departments and with external vendors
• Strong attention to detail and ability to reconcile data
• Proficient data entry speed and high accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
• Associates degree in business or a related field
