Terms of Employment: 3rd Party Contract; 201 days per school year
Contract Commitment/Compensation: $42,000-$46,000 (salary depends on experience).
Qualifications:
An associate’s degree or equivalent college coursework is required.
A bachelor’s degree or higher in education or related field preferred.
At least three (3) years of experience in an educational setting, teaching experience, or other significant experience with youth.
Demonstrated and verifiable record of excellent, positive, and productive relationships with administrators, teachers, parents, students, auxiliary staff, and the community at large

Competent in technology.
Reports to: Building Principal
Job Goal: To be responsible for duties focusing on student discipline and attendance matters in accordance with established Board of Education policies and procedures.
Performance Responsibilities:
Student Discipline
Supervise conduct of students in all areas within the school.
Handle disposition of students following policies and guidelines of Monroe Public Schools.
Apprise principal or assistant principal of all conduct believed to require
Police contact including School Resource Officer
Suspension(s) in excess of four (4) days
Enter and/or delegate entry of disciplinary actions into computer database maintaining an up-to-date, ongoing, and progressive record of student disciplinary actions and oversee Student Responsibility Center.
Serve as a school liaison with the court, probation officers, attendance officers, and the School Resource Officer.
Support staff with disciplinary matters when they have initiated appropriate, progressive disciplinary action on their own.
Meets with mentors and new teachers to establish appropriate procedures for sending students to the office.
Supervise lunchroom during all lunch hours and follow-up with infractions related to lunch discipline.
Use video camera monitoring to assist in establishing charges of vandalism, disciplinary behaviors, and other incidents which may occur in the building.
Assist in updating discipline guidelines for students and staff.
Student Attendance
Enforce the school Attendance Policy in accordance with established procedures and oversee Attendance Appeal Process.
Monitor student attendance records and patterns.
Maintain frequent contact with students and parents regarding attendance and tardiness issues.
Use communication devices (computerized letters, phone calling system, and report cards to ensure notification to homes/families).
Follow residency requirements as established by the Board of Education to ensure compliance.
Follow-up as needed to ensure the proper proof is on file as required.
Investigate when mail is returned indicating a change in residency.
Other Duties
Coordinate school PBIS Program and facilitation.
Assist in the supervision and monitoring during lunchtime.
Serves as contact for issues of attendance, residency, and required attendance/discipline reports required by state or federal governments.
Performs other duties as may be delegated by the Principal.
