*OPPORTUNITY TO JOIN THE CITY OF MONROE TEAM!* *APPRAISER 1* The City of Monroe seeks an Appraiser 1 that will assume responsibility for responding to public inquiries regarding assessment records and processes.
Also functions as a property appraiser, focusing on residential, and less complex commercial and industrial properties.
Performs a variety of tasks pertaining to the maintenance and upgrade of assessment records and assists the City Assessor in compiling related reports.
Candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
An Associate’s degree in business management or a related field is desirable.
Michigan Certified Assessing Technician (MCAT) minimum, Michigan Certified Assessing Officer (MCAO) preferred.
One to three years in an office setting, preferably involved in appraising, assessing or related real estate discipline.
A valid Vehicle Operator’s License is required.
Must reside within 20 miles of the City of Monroe’s boundaries within one year after employment.
Salary range: $16.
83-$25.
25 DOQ, plus excellent fringes.
