We are seeking hard working individuals for our landscape construction team in a full-time capacity as Crew Leader.
The Landscape Construction Crew Leader will utilize team management skills, knowledge of plants and planting materials, and innovations in landscape and hardscape installation when working with clients to achieve a high-quality product that meets the client's expectations.
DESCRIPTION
* Manage the installation of plants, edging, mulch, lawns, irrigation and drainage.
Planting, grooming, and maintaining plant material, and performing site cleanup duties.
* Manage the installation of hardscape designs including patios, brick pavers, stairs, retaining walls, outdoor kitchens, fire pits etc.
* Interpreting and implementing scaled landscape prints and contracts, the ability to interpret blueprints.
* Supervise landscape installation operations, review landscape design with managers, and ensure work is completed in accordance with plans and specifications.
* Effectively manage crew members to achieve maximum efficiency through teaching and training.
* Instruct and enforce jobsite safety, safety rules and regulations.
* Operate and maintain all company equipment (skids, mini-excavators, trucks, trailers, hand tools)
* Engage in positive interactions with customers and homeowners.
* Effectively communicate with Supervisors and other team members.
* Meeting job deadlines in a timely manner
* Other duties as assigned or needed for the general wellbeing of the company
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS
* 1-2 years of experience leading a landscape construction crew
* Valid driver's license
* Reliable Transportation to New Boston, MI
* Able to lift and carry 50 lbs or more
* Ability or experience managing members of a team
* Willingness to learn, improve and advance while working safely and being smart.
* Have a positive attitude and works well within a team environment
* Able to work in a fast paced environment and perform physical work on a daily basis
* Smart phone (required) to take photos and use apps to track work
