Summary
Work within a production team preforming any production related tasks necessary to manufacture quality forgings to customer specifications.
Essential functions
• Ability to perform any of the follow tasks during a production run: induction heating, pierce, trimmer.
• Properly trim and pierce, heat and spray forgings.
• Properly set up forge presses with dies, trimmers, and all necessary equipment needed during production.
• Monitor for non-conforming product.
• Assist in preventive maintenance tasks on presses and trimmers along with other production equipment such as tightening bolts, greasing, checking lubricant, etc.
• Maintain work area and equipment and perform basic housekeeping around equipment such as sweeping or shoveling to promote cleanliness and safety.
• Must comply with all safety procedures and regulations.
• Perform any tasks required by management to quality manufacturing forgings.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating professionally with co-worker, vendors, customers and management.
• Ability to think clearly and react quickly to physical dangers.

Physical demands
The Production trimmer is required to stand all day, while performing duties of the position, while working with moving mechanical parts and vibration.
The employee is frequently required to use 3-8 lbs.
long tongs with the reach of two feet using both hands to lift parts up to 30 lbs for up to 3000 times a day.
Employee will rotate at the waist, while using tongs to move parts from press to trimmer.
The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel or crouch, lift and/ or move up to 40 pounds, bend at the waist, walk and talk.
Position and expected hours
• Full time position – Schedule is Monday to Friday 3:50 pm to 1:50 am.
Some Saturday may be required.
• 10-hour shift
Work Environment
This position regularly encounters exposure to extreme temperatures (hot and cold), exposure to chemical odors, and extreme noise reaching up to 120 decibels.
