*Position: Welder* *Duration: 6 months Contract-To-Hire* *Location: Petersburg, MI 49270* *Pay Rate: $22hr* _*Welders must provide their own welding helmet for the required welding test*_ *Required* *Education*: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required *Experience*: • Entry to Mid level = 1 - 3 years of welding experience • Experience using hand and power tools, required.
• Experience operating mobile equipment, preferred.
Certifications/Licenses: • Must be able to pass weld test.
• Welding Certificate, a plus • Licensed forklift truck operator *Additional Skills*: • Basic math skills • General manual labor • Work in a team setting • Ability to work independently • Understand verbal and written instructions • Knowledge of ISO and OHSA standards Working Conditions 1.
Must be able to stand for extended period of time.

Ability to frequently lift/push/pull up to 40 pounds.

Must be able to climb/stoop/kneel at heights up to 15 feet.

Works in varying weather conditions and temperatures.

Working conditions could include: dust, fumes and noise.
*Duties* Will be responsible for production line MIG welding.
Welders fabricate and assemble metal structures through the use of weld machines, equipment, and measuring tools.
Will produce products according to customer or employer specifications.
Will set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment for optimal performance and safety.
Must maintain a good working relationship with fellow workers and customers.
Accountable to maintain a level of work performance in accordance with standards.
This position is responsible to have and maintain the ability to accomplish a task while holding the ability to notice inconsistencies/faults in parts, equipment, or production processes to prevent faulty products leaving the facility.
Will complete daily progress sheets to record accomplished work.
This role will maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
Have the ability to accept constructive criticism and make subsequent adjustments, and willingness to rework incorrect tasks completed by oneself or others.
