Job Title: Construction Assistant
Department: RCC
Reports to: Neighborhood Superintendent
Location: Lower Michigan

Position Overview Under the general direction of the Neighborhood Superintendent, the Construction Assistant will be responsible for ensuring Redwood is keeping the sites clean and safe for our residents and operating related equipment.
The Construction Assistant will also be responsible for transporting designated employees in a comfortable, safe, and timely manner.
As such, you will be expected to act as a Redwood brand ambassador, promote our brand and provide the best resident experience possible.
All Redwood employees are expected to conduct all organizational business and practices in accordance with Redwood policies.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities · Transport Redwood employees to and from construction sites · Perform general job site clean up · Run errands as needed to obtain needed tools and/or equipment · Load materials as needed · Assisting general trades (carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing) · Removal and hauling of debris to on-site dumpsters · General Site Maintenance · All other related duties as assigned Required Skills As a Construction Assistant, you will be required to exhibit the following skills: · Respectfulness, trustworthiness, empathy, and leadership · The ability to work under pressure · Excellent time management skills · Strong communication skills and general business acumen · The ability to communicate and interact with employees at all organizational levels · Proven ability to plan, organize and implement multiple tasks/projects on a concurrent, real-time basis Required Qualifications, Education & Certifications · High School Diploma or GED preferred · Job Site experience preferred · Valid Driver’s License required Working Conditions This job operates in a professional construction environment.
In this role, the employee will routinely use standard construction equipment and may be tasked to operate a company vehicle.
The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, bend, and walk with the ability to life 50 pounds where applicable.
